Sally Davies has been taking daily photos of a Happy Meal she purchased over a half year. Its appearance has barely changed, although it is now hard as a rock. The New York photographer started the project when a friend of hers told her someone had kept a Happy Meal for over a dozen years without it changing much: no mold or physical break down. Sally didn't believe it. Now she does. See all the photos and her other art at www.sallydaviesphoto.com. If we are what we eat, does eating food that does not spoil also mumify us? McDonald's claims they use fresh locally produced food with no preservatives. This ignores that low nutrients and high salt would upset bacteria as much as it does human health. See the Yahoo interview here.
that is sooo gross. Thats why I always teach to my clients to eat clean and without chemicals and preservatives.
