Thirteen athletes participated in the 1st phase of the preliminary study (Fall 2006 - Spring 2007) to see how much performance can be improved using a holistic approach to nutrition not only targeted towards performance but also injury recovery and health. Phase 2 will ask the same question this Fall under the even more stressful conditions of elevation training at Mamoth Lake. This thread is meant to establish a direct communication line between myself and the athletes enabling everyone on the team to benefit from the nutrition discussion.
What would be an ideal pre-race blood sugar level for an elite distance runner? (5K and up)
